About Drakes Cork & Cask

Drakes is nestled near the river Medway in the heart of Maidstone. Once called The Lamb Inn, it first opened it’s doors back in 1636. Here you will receive a warm welcome from our friendly staff, a perfect pint and fantastic food.

At Drakes we have a large courtyard which is partly covered. Here we host live entertainment every weekend, with a popular monthly ‘Bikefest’ in the warmer months. Without a doubt, Drakes warms you in the winter with lit fires, comfy sofas and board games, and delights you in the summer with our sun-trap garden, cocktails and festivals.

Coupled with the food and courtyard, Drakes also has its original stable block, which is great for smaller groups wanting to book their own space. Furthermore, we have an outside bar that can be made private for parties. Altogether this makes Drakes a wonderful venue for weddings, birthdays, baby showers and other events.

Finally, Drakes is a lively pub with a fun atmosphere, cosy feel and tasty food, with a fine selection of draught beers, bottled craft ales and a spirit selection that will suit everyone’s taste!
